My wife and I have enjoyed Buffy from when it aired to reruns, DVD purchases of all the seasons and now the purchase on Fandango. So, yeah, little timing issues that a short stop-start fixes when it is noticeable. See you again on Ep 06.

I admit this is a fine episode but not really a special oneβ¦but seeing this and noticing Cordelia looking at Angelβ¦ π Charisma Carpenter is on TikTok now, and found her way to my FYP, and sheβs been gracious in answering questions about her career (mostly in the Buffy-verse) and I appreciate that she is addressing some of the fan-made-up controversyβs head on, especially the one that said she had a rivalry with SMG because Charisma also tried out for the role of Buffy. She pointed out that she read for Buffy, just like a couple of hundred actresses did, but that the casting directors immediately asked her to prepare sides as Cordelia, and to always trust casting directors. They were right, and sheβs perfect in her role!

I don't cut anything, but now that I know they seem to be different lengths on different streaming platforms, I'll try to include more footage around those breaks to help with syncing. Alas, I think that's the best I'll be able to do, since the DVD's may even be different. Thank you for letting me know!

(I'm on Disney Plus UK, for example). 2. Does your "copy" have black screens (and dip out) where it would have been the ad breaks and if so, are you cutting them out?. I had to pause you for a few secs. to resync. Not sure if the DVDs have them. Great reaction anyway. Can't wait for more. Thanks

The first episode to bring the Master back into the mix and the fact that it leans especially hard into the gothic campyness of S1, which is something that has been one of my favourite aspects of early BtVS. The constant snark juxtaposed with Giles heartwarming speech at the end gets me every time.
