March 2023 Patron ask box answers

Hello all! Long time no answer compilations - we're returning under new guidelines!

If you missed the latest update log, the tl;dr is that I'm tentatively treating the usual Q&A inbox like a CuriousCat, or Tumblr ask box-like activity - general anonymous ask box that only patrons can access!

So without further ado, the answers to previous submitted questions:

For Hyatt, Zephyr and Ismedhai aka demon!Hyatt!

Oh, this is a packed one. Hyatt and Zephyr were originally created in 2020 for Oblivious Dream, a modern magical girl TTRPG I played with my friends. Then I grew attached to them enough to develop them into their own thing in my own personal universe.

To sum it up: they were once childhood friend who shared a religious, conservative upbringing - Hyatt's much stricter than Zephyr's. They parted ways at a young age, and eventurally met again years later all grown up, from completely different walks of life - but a similar yearn for freedom and agency.

Their "canon" story is about them awkwardly rekindling and reframing their friendship despite all their differences and the clear tension in the air. It's about maturing while choosing to lose or grow from what's in your past, owning your own identity and sexuality, and having to tackle confusing paranatural shenanigans involving capricious deities and evil horny alternate personas.

For Guy Sexman!

He was and still is a carefree, goal-less kind of guy. He first visited the monster brothel as a sort of test of courage prompted by peers, since he had never been to a stablishment of this kind or got involved with non human partners; he's easily impressed and excited over new experiences, but never expected his visit to be life changing. The guys who challenged him in the first place are in disbelief to see the development.

For demon!Hyatt!

Ismeddy is simply unable to feel embarrassed, specially if sex is involved. It's just not in his nature. Humiliated or frustrated maybe, but never embarrassed. His partners though... he loves causing that on them.

For demon!Hyatt!

His entire existence is based around repressed desires, and his sole pupose is to make them into reality - so demon!Hyatt doesn't really have hobbies or interests of his own. He's only an impression of a full fledged person, their guilt given life and drive - that person being og Hyatt, in the original story.

For Zephyatt!

Aside from his natural charm and cool attitude that always give Hyatt butterflies in his stomach, Zephyr's freedom and assertiveness to live his life however he wants is something Hyatt admires - having grown up as a cloistered child in a conservative, controlling family. He also really appreciates how, despite Zephyr's carefree attitude and seeming uninterest in affective relationships, he's caring and a good listener to his birdie friend. His perception of Zephyr really differs from people who usually hang out with him - because Hyatt gets to see his softer side.

As for Zephyr, he sees in Hyatt something precious to protect - which also puts some distance in their relationship to some extent. He likes how despite his rigid upbringing, Hyatt was brave enough to defy all expectations of him - while still keeping his sweet, positive personality. He admires how Hyatt's not afraid to be completely genuine, because it's the opposite for Zephyr - and he perceives that as innocence, which he's (not so) protective of. Hyatt sees a good person in Zephyr that he himself can't really see, but he'd like to be that person for his birdie.
