So to answer the thing about "mo-" from the last chapter: TCB did leave a translator's note on the page, but basically whatever word Vegapunk was going to say in the original japanese text began with も (pronounced "mo"). You can't really figure out what word he would've said from that alone. That would be like trying to guess a person's next word and all you know is that it starts with the letter T. Like, how many words begin with that? This problem is made even worse as も (mo) is also used as a grammar particle that indicates a second subject being part of a set (basically it acts as the words "also"/"too" when used for grammar purposes). Because of this, TCB decided to just leave "mo" as is and not translate it. The official translation replaces "mo" with "a-." To me it seems like they were trying to be intentionally vague with this. You could easily continue Vegapunk's sentence that way ("within you there is a-") without having to commit to whatever he may be saying, or you could read it as the word "also" getting cut off ("within you there is also"), which matches mo's grammatical use. The joys of translating.

2024-06-28 23:36:17 +0000 UTCI also had no issue with Bonney receiving the Nika form, given her and Kuma's ties to mythology and her Nika-ish abilities throughout the arc. Considering the buildup and the way her fruit power works, it would have been a missed opportunity if she didn't go full Nika.
