The original Sandman panels vans are a very special part of Australian motoring history. Most of the Holden's were actually designed here in Australia, at Fisherman's Bend In Melbourne. Its really only the last few years before they shut the factory down that they started to import American made models. We even had a racing legend out here called Peter Brock who took the road cars and made special modified versions. They were the coolest.

There is some hearses based on Statesman model, but due to the lack of good Statesman models, I took Belmont Sandman instead and made a hearse at its base))

Oh I’m def familiar with Holden’s connection to GM, I just never thought to ever see if they made hearses lol… I figured GM would just import Cadillac’s for that duty.

It is an Australian brand of General Motors. And cars were something in common between Chevrolet and Opel))

This looks so cool. I’ve never heard of this car, but I like it.
