My Great Grandmothers Necklace

What's really special to me about these photos is that I'm wearing my Great Grandmothers Amethyst necklace. I've loved it since I was a little girl. Right after I moved into my new place, my mother gave it to me (along with an old photograph of her) and I had been wanting to shoot with it. I never met my Great Grandmother, but I've always felt an incredibly strong bond with her. She left Hungary a few years before WW2, and I can only imagine what life was like for her. I know that she was an incredibly strong woman, and I feel that her strength has been present throughout my entire life. I'm honored to wear her necklace, and it's now one of my most precious physical possessions.
