Like others have mentioned in the comments, I usually forget about this episode but when we get to it, I'm always like, oh, this is a fun one. It's cheesy but in a good way, there just having fun with the idea of superheroes and it's nice to have some fun after the last few episodes of goodbyes. Everyone in the episode did great with there characters as well, good acting and a lot of funny lines. Great reaction, I look forward to the new season.

2024-09-13 07:44:17 +0000 UTCI never really include this one on a rewatch, and if I was playing catch up to reactions I'd probably skip it, but anytime I do end up watching I end up having fun with it. It's a fun little nod to the Marvel and DC universes. Fun fact time about how this episode came to be. In Mexico, "Doctor Quién" doesn't really translate very well, so the show is called "Doctor Misterio" down there. Moffat and Capaldi didn't know this until they visited there as part of the Doctor Who World Tour. They were so in love with this, they jointly thought it would make for a great episode title. I do like they acknowledged River again, and made it clear that, yes the Doctor is going to be sad for a bit, but it's essentially time to move on. We kind of got a happy ending for her, but we also know what's coming next for her and so does he. They didn't belabor it, but it would be weird not to mention it at least. Looking forward to Season 10 (that just blows my mind) 🤯

2024-09-12 00:33:01 +0000 UTCI always forget about this episodes (mostly because I'm excited for what's to come) but then I remember how much I like this one. Not my favorite Christmas episode but it is still very well done. Overall, it is a cool play on the superhero trope and it is a lot fun. I would recommend this to someone who has never seen this show for sure.
