I thought this was a very good episode, I thought the fight scenes were great. I love seeing Johnny, Daniel and Chozen working together and on the same page, as well as Robbie and Miguel.
I'm glad Hawk didn't get hurt worse, based on the damage on the dummy they were using to practice with, I was worried something was going to get broken. I'm glad Sam got her confidence back with her fight. Sad that Kenny's become the bully, hope Devon doesn't head down that path, as for his redemption, I mean with the things that Hawk has done or Robby, Johnny, Miguel, Chozen, I feel like redemption is possible for anyone.
As for Sam and Miguel, to be fair, they didn't break up because they didn't like each other anymore, Sam needed to work on herself and her mental health, off camera of course, based on the last episode or 2, it seems like she is starting to do better and then she found the octopus charm, with the octopus meaning a lot to them and their relationship. Which seems to have gotten her to want to talk to Miguel about it and potential feelings still being there, it also makes sense that the feelings are still there, considering that was never the problem, but she was surprised to see him making out with someone, so she was sad.
A lot of people get angry at Sam for her reaction, I don't really get that, it's feelings, you can't really control feelings that easy and you should be allowed to feel them. Seems pretty simple to me, she wanted to talk to Miguel about feelings still being there, since she's doing better, saw him making out with a girl and got sad, what's so bad about that, I mean if she yelled at him, called him a cheater or something, I could see getting angry at her, but she got sad, that's all she did and her feelings are valid she should be able to feel them. Also, based on Miguel's reaction, I'm not sure she's the only one that might still have feelings.
It's interesting with Kreese, he's been using Tory, to get himself out of trouble, putting her in a dangerous place that's not good for her, now he's telling her to look out for herself, to think of her future and she feels like she's being abandoned, which makes sense for her, because she felt like she had someone and they were working together and now he's just leaving her. But for Kreese, it's actually probably the best thing he's done for her, rather than use her and keep her in Cobra Kai. Great reaction, I look forward to the next one.
