Keep it up to Nintendo! This great strategy of not saying a god damn thing about the Switch 2 and letting the whole damn console leak online has really brought the community together. Who knew the real Switch 2 was the friends we made along the way. ❤️

Daniel Ross

Happy birthday summon sign! I probably missed this somewhere, but while we have him, what are Jimmys picks for the best games of 2024?

Lizurd

End of show question What are your mount rushmore of favorite video game IP’s of all time from when you were a child (say as a young teenager) and right now as an adult. I’m curious on if any of them are the same.

Brandon Tyler

One game conspicuous by its absence on LSM throughought 2024 was Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance. I can understand it going under the radar when the original was stuck on Switch, but it's now on PS5, XBOX and PC fully revamped with 60fps. It's the most slept on game of 2024. Someone in the network, get on that shit! I'm convinced Colin would love it.

kunsam

What’s up SS crew! This is for Jimmy but definitely curious if anyone else would like to chime in as well. What horror games are you most looking forward to in 2025? I gotta say Dying Light: The Beast and Tormented Souls are my top picks but hopefully some other stuff will surprise me as well. Also, is Jonathan really dead in Terrifier?? Cheers guys and keep up the amazing work!

Jonathan Tachera

Brad, gimme all them Pokemon deets! How we feeling about Gen 4? Personally, this is where the series started falling off for me. Sort It Out: Ubisoft. Delaying Assassin’s Creed again? My hype for this game has now turned to uncertainty. I still want to play it but I’ll be waiting for the reviews.

The Mega Man gauntlet begins

Hey guys FTLT here! I just wanted to say keep it up to the Games Done Quick team! As I’m typing this they just reached 2 million dollars raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation during their speedrunning charity marathon AGDQ. It’s amazing to see gamers come together for such a great cause!

Anthony Arcure

Hello gentleman, If you had a nobody in the kingdom hearts sense, what would their name be? (Your name rearranged with an X added)

Matt Kuryloski

Keep it up ZZZ! Not only does this free to play game have some of the most beautifully animated cutscenes in gaming. (Borderline Pixar level), but with each update they just keep on improving the game. No more TV map levels. They listened to fans and kept the “up skirt camera angle”. (I honestly didn’t know that was a thing until I saw fans complaining). And Miyabi is one of the coolest characters ever. Not to mention the other vast improvements they’ve made. Even if you don’t like gatcha games, you can just play the story mode for free. The story mode allows you to play with all characters in their scenarios. (And a follow-up from last week. Redahn probably has the biggest dick in gaming. When you fight him, he just screams BDE (Big dick energy). I’m surprised an Elden ring boss doesn’t have a dick slap move with how weird souls bosses can get.

People forget that Mega Man 1 is much tougher than MM2.

Happiest of new years to the summoners, I have a keep it up for the Nintendo rewind feature. My wife has rarely played 2d games because of the difficulty . But because of that one simple feature she has beaten the original Mario Bros, Mario 3, Super Mario world, and Donkey Kong country 1-3. Hope you all have an amazing 2025! Cheers.

Does Jimmy even like Champagne? I had it once when I was an underage best man in a wedding and it was aight.

Brandon Bishop

Hey Summoners, With GTA V being discussed, I’m just curious what you guys would like to see from GTA VI? For me I would like to see them evolve the shooting mechanics. GTA V and Red Dead 2 are fun but a bit too snappy and simple with the lock on aiming. Something with a bit more skill and precision would be nice. Thanks for all the great pods!

Howdy Brad and the Summon Crew, Have you ever had a game that you bought and really were excited to try and play, but just for some reason or another never really got going into it more than the first little bit? I bought excitedly bough Elden Ring nearly 8 months ago the first time I saw it on a good sale and still haven't put more than a couple hours into it. Something about not understanding the builds/stats and where to go has me in an option paralysis. Plus the only one or two items I did get, I have no idea what anything does. Even watching YT videos on it seems to even confuse me more, so it sits in my library, rarely played. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had a game they had every intention of playing alot of after they bought it, but just never got around to it. thanks for all you guys do for the great content! P.S. Dustin, per your recent comments on sacred, keep your head up man. You are fantastic at what you do and the LSM community is eternally grateful for all you do for us.

Jay McGraw

Dusty boy my fellow Gooner (but not that way,) I was so excited to hear you speak on your experience thus far with FFXIV on Sacred Symbols. If for some reason you ever struggle to find an FC I’d like to formally invite you to the Chocobro Battalion. We’re small, but we’ve got heart and a house, without all the furries packing Gae Bulg of course.

Jayce Tamulevich

Hey Summoners, Question for the Big D: If you have WoW experience, how would you explain FFXIV in that context? I ask because high level raiding in Vanilla WoW is a top 5 gaming memory for me. While I know I no longer have the free time for that kind of gaming commitment, as a massive Final Fantasy fan, FFXIV constantly tempts me. I recognize I won't be a high level player and will largely play solo, so it's on me to adjust expectations. In reality, I'm simply excited to hear your thoughts on this game and to try and better understand approaching it with my limited scope but formerly hardcore MMORPG experience. Be well. Clark Petri

hello SS squad! how are you all doing Brad, pokemon diamond is when I fell of the series. what's it like and did you emulate this one as well. also I think it's time to guess who Dustin and jimmy would be if they were pokemon. I'm going to suggest Magikarp for Dustin because he seems unassuming but has the potential to surprise everyone I don't know jimmy as well but I'll suggest haunter also micha is totally jinx

Ding Dong

Hey boys! I've been flipping through a bunch of random games on my Wii feeling a lot of nostalgia going back to my first Nintendo console. If you had to, what console would you like to go back and experience most of the catalog for? Thanks for all you do.

TheUnchartedWolf

Hey Jimmy, Jesus Christ be praised. I played, beat and got all the achievements in KCD a few weeks ago, it's great to see you either playing it again or giving it another go before KCDII. I started playing in the summer and really fell in love with many aspects of it. Stand outs for me were the alchemy system, the open world and the interesting, funny and well written quests that dot 1400's Bavaria. The only game that covers a time period like this are Pentiment, which is another stellar game if you haven't played it yet. One thing I want to see improve in the sequel is the combat. That's really my biggest negative of the first game. While I don't think it's one of the best RPG's like Lock, you can't deny how immersive and original the game feels compared to the competition. My question is would you like to see more immersive games? Another game that's overly immersive is Red Dead 2, just to give an example. Thanks for summoning me.

Hello Summon Sluts, Brad, you might not be aware but when Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl came out, they were criticised hugely, from the art-style to the content cut from Platinum’s DS version.. I never got it, I can see some issues but I actually think the chibi style is perfect for Pokemon and I really wish they would take this style and move forward with it or the top down style from previous generations as they move into the future, the top down style always gave the games far more personality and character to them. The move to full scale 3D / open world doesn’t hit half as much, they just feel so empty with no secret routes or small towns / villages to really explore. Where do you stand on it? Cormac🇮🇪

To circle back to the contest for biggest video game character junk, I submit The King of All Cosmos from Katamari Damacy.

Kpunk

Sup nasty boys?! I’ve been jonesing for a Pokémon game on switch lately and I haven’t play any of the switch ones (sword, violet, pearl gens) only Arceus… which of the switch ones should I check out to scratch that Pokémon itch? Stay nasty boys.

DicNasty

Hey Summon Skanks, this one is for Jimmy. How are the loading times with GTA V? I’ve wanted to go back to the game with GTA VI incoming but remember the loading times being sooooo long. Is it better on next-gen consoles or are you playing on PC? Take care!

Kazden Risk

Hello Summoners, I hate to do this because they’re my favorite developer, but SORT IT OUT Rockstar. Enough with the silence about GTA 6. Give us another trailer, or give us a delay announcement already. So many companies are holding onto their release dates because of this game and it’s been frustrating. So it’s time to shit or get off the pot Rockstar. Enough already. You owe the gaming industry some answers, so they can plan accordingly.

Rampage64

I've also been playing GTA5 (for the 6th time, making it my most replayed video game story of all time) and it's such a blast. It's got me so excited for 6 to come out. With everything that's happened since 2013, what crazy shit are they going to come up with? What's everyone's favorite mission? Or favorite bit of parody? "Weasel News! Confirming your prejudices."

Nannooskeeska

An education: I see big D-money is playing FFXIV. What lessons could other rpgs learn from XIV and vice versa? By extension to all of you fine fellows, what's a lesson one series could learn from another in your opinion? It could be a gameplay mechanic, quality of life feature or something systemic, something with writing or art design, anything really.

Javin Mather

Im writing in for Brad with this one- since youre playing Mega Man 1, what do you think is your favorite Mega Man series? Also what series do you think makes the most sense to revive for modern times? I feel like a Legends game in the RE ENGINE could be incredible. What say you B-RAD?

DonglerofThaShnutz

Keep it up to Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio for creating the best Pokémon game in over a decade with Infinite Wealth. Are there any mini games you’d like to see in the next Yakuza entry?

Jonathan Gould

Brad, Is Dustin a certified Furry now?
