The holiday season was pretty quiet news-wise, but there were fairly substantial exceptions in the form of two lengthy interviews published by legendary Japanese games publication Famitsu, conducted with both of PlayStation's recently-installed co-CEOs. On the one hand, Hermen Hulst was peppered with questions about Helldivers 2 and Concord, the future of Sony's single-player initiatives, and whether PlayStation fans can expect more games to travel off-platform. On the other hand, Hideaki Nishino was prodded for answers on topics like the future of cloud gaming, the success of PS5 in the wake of PS4, and even when we might see a hypothetical PlayStation 6. Obviously, we're left with much to discuss. Other news of note includes another delay for Assassin's Creed: Shadows, early rumblings of a potential new emulation solution for PS3, compelling evidence of a forthcoming remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, a turned-down pitch for Dead Space 4, and much more. Then: Listener inquiries! Why were so many people convinced Black Myth: Wukong was a PS5 console-exclusive title? Is it necessary for a True Yakuza Fan to play all titles in the series? 10 years on, how has Colin enjoyed his decade of media independence? 2025-01-11 22:53:18 +0000 UTCI picked up the pulse explore earbuds for the portal when I got it. They’re the only way to get portal audio wirelessly, and that’s really the sole pro. I also love how you can get the usb dongle and Bluetooth audio simultaneously, but there are better options for it in terms of connectivity and sound quality. The buds sound noticeably, significantly worse than AirPod pros or Sony’s inzone line. The 2.4 ghz (dongle) signal will drop if you leave the room—one bud may drop even just by turning your head. I’m still happy to have wireless portal audio, and it’s nice to have another set of headphones for my OG non-Pro PS5 connected to a monitor without audio, but you need those more specific use-cases I think, and it’s still pricey for what you’re getting.

I had a 55in C7 i bought in 2018 for about $1800 (crazy expensive imo) and now i just upgraded to the 2024 model C4 65in and that was $1500. So they have gotten cheaper. Lg has the B series C series and G series that each get progressively brighter and more expensive. Id say u want a newer model that has VRR support and HDMI 2.1. I’m not sure how the B series is but u can get a 48in for like $700. That would be fine if u don’t sit far away. If ur more than 7-8 feet away u probably want at least 55in tho. Check rtings.com and u can compare the b and c series to see the differences. Its an investment but i personally found it well worth it

The older games are harder to get through but they’re all pretty fun in their own ways.

They are actually a lossless wireless format developed by Sony, Bluetooth is lossy. They use planar drivers probably developed with Audeze. Planar in-ear true wireless lossless audio for 200 bucks IS NOT expensive. (They also have Bluetooth of course.. and multipoint but that’s a given nowadays) let me know if you have questions.

You can dual pair at the same time BT & PS Link. Great battery life. It's kind of freeing using earbuds when playing games. I've dabbled in quality headphones & earbuds since I got the original Audeze Penrose S before PlayStation bought their headphone division.

That’s the nature of a subjective opinion. I think where the “derangement” thing comes in is based on the degree of the reaction. It’s all about how many people feel a need to go overboard and be annoying about Naughty Dog. Of course, everyone has the right to say what they want about what they want, but I just don’t think that’s close to being a normal reaction. Very tinny, lack bass, tons of home grown fixes on Reddit. I think they’re both junk, but I just stick to the Pulse Elite. The earbuds are the only product from Sony I have ever returned, and I buy all this garbage, no matter how useless.

The only way to fix it is by reinserting the PS link USB stick! I think the issue might be more related to the USB stick that the buds themselves because it seems to happen to Elite owners as well, but still. The silicone tips that came with the earbuds were pretty damn bad too, so I ended up buying Comply foamtips that worked a lot better. A big plus is the ability to be connected both to the PS5 and your phone simultaneously, but overall I wish I went with the Pulse Elites.

So it seems that in your world, you're allowed to refuse to play games by specific companies or creators, but other people aren't afforded the same privilege? This is illogical, and circles back to how I started this comment. Your personal biases haven't merely clouded your judgement, they're left you blind and tone deaf. You have a similar blind spot with your incessant anti Saudi Arabia human rights opinions, while you praise Apple products constantly despite them using slave labour in China. We all have our own foibles so this isn't a personal attack, but to act aghast and speak like your own shit doesn't stink when you are so vociferous in the other direction is a terrible look, and it's likely a huge part of why you got so much puhsback.

I don’t have that luxury unfortunately and seemingly there’s no other solution. Pretty fucking dumb design from Sony, I’ve had them since release and tried multiple adapters, there’s been no update from Sony to address this

Dustin or anyone from last stand, I’d love for you to read this but I totally understand if you don’t because it’s going to be a tad long. Before I start I’d like to say that I absolutely love last stand media and have been a long time fan. My goal here isn’t to change anyone’s mind, I disagree with things said on sacred symbols all the time, that’s fine. My goal is to get the sacred crew or at least some members of the community, that there are some valid criticisms of intergalactic. I’m not one of these people who are upset because the protagonist is “ugly”. I couldn’t care less if a protagonist in a game is conventionally attractive or not. I also don’t think there is anything wrong with female characters in your story. I think women can be very relatable and well written in games. But there are a few key points that aren’t being addressed by the sacred boys regarding the intergalactic backlash. People with a traditionally conservative worldview don’t like to see women being portrayed as heavily masculine, whether it be in games, movies, anything really. I feel that pushing masculine virtues onto female characters over and over again has an unintended consequence of making feminine qualities seem lesser than, which isn’t true. Obviously, they aren’t lesser than, real femininity is something that should be celebrated and welcomed. You may say, well then just don’t play it if it bothers you, why even complain? Just ignore it. The problem is that it’s just really disappointing to see because naughty dog makes SUPER high quality games. Few make games on that level. We only get a game of this caliber once every handful of years, so when one lets you down, it stings. The worst part is, I feel like people such as myself are being lumped in with the “Jordan is ugly and everything is woke” crowd by the sacred crew. I think it needs to be acknowledged that there is a small minority of socially conservative people who have a legitimate grievance. I’d love to hear anyone’s thoughts in the reply’s to this comment!

2025-01-10 20:41:22 +0000 UTCI got the Pulse Explore headphones for Christmas from my wife. The first few days they would stop working and lose connection. I had to reset them. After some troubleshooting they’re working now. You have to leave the case open when you use the headphones because the case is the handshake between the headset and console. When you put them in your ears you have to sign in on your console similar to how you sign in with your controller. Sound wise it’s pretty good. It’s hard to fully recommend them due to the initial experience i had. But I own them now and use them frequently. I will say that I’ve had 0 issues since the hard reset.

It was the first game of that gen that I played at a friend’s and I absolutely had to have it. My poor teenage ass saved up to buy a 360 Elite for $480, Oblivion, and a 26” Samsung LCD for $800. I had Colors by Between the Buried and Me saved to the hard drive and listened to that album on repeat for months, while playing Oblivion. The best of days.
