2024-09-05 23:20:34 +0000 UTC(sorry i didn't see this till now) I 100% agree. I feel that way about a lot of naruto characters. Anime watchers seem to loss touch with what's realistic sometimes. Not everyone can be as good moraled as kakashi when they have the amount of trauma they do. i feel like sasuke and gaara are hella underrated in that sense!

I haven't watched the whole show in french so i don't know about how well some iconic characters that appear later on in shippuden are done

I remember watching them for the first time as it was airing on tv (It was the french version since I live in Quebec) and it got to episode 78 I was so hyped to see the next episode but then it went back to the first one the next day as I think we had caught up with the dubbed version at the time so I had to rewatch the whole show again before I could see what happens.

2024-07-22 18:33:28 +0000 UTCGaaras backstory never fails to choke me up, easily the saddest most tragic childhood backstory of any of the characters. Interesting to rewatch this and see how they kinda retconned Shukaku's backstory and how it works having him inside you.
