Sing 2: Why Johnny and Ryan Should be GAY! | READUS 101
Added 2022-06-21 16:00:06 +0000 UTCTaron Egerton’s character Johnny in Sing can easily be looked at as an allegory for coming out as queer both with or without acceptance. And Sing 2 easily continues the allegory by introducing Johnny to the discrimination one finds in seeking lgbt community. So when a prominent background character -- a tiger named Ryan -- was introduced in Johnny’s story in Sing 2, I was surprised that they didn’t do anything with him despite Ryan CLEARLY being interested in Johnny. So here’s how I adjusted Sing 2 so that Ryan and Johnny can have more of an arc together.
