Added 2022-03-15 16:01:03 +0000 UTCWhen I watched Disney/Pixar’s “Turning Red” on Disney Plus, not only did I find this newest animation from Pixar absolutely stunning, but so much of the story of Turning Red reminded me of what I went through growing up queer and coming out as a black kid in a religous household. Now as an out and proud member of the LGBT community, I want to share the scenes from Turning Red that reminded so much of both my struggles with my mother, and my coming out story -- specifically coming out to my father!
