The thing that always impressed me about this commenter was how creative he is. Instead of just saying "watch Symphogear" over and over, he would always find a way to take the topic of whatever video he was commenting on, and twist it into a joke where the punchline was "watch Symphogear." That's why it didn't get old, and this is some of the best proof I've ever seen that anything can be entertaining if it's done right.
Tonkatsu is a fictional character. She's not just an avatar that I use to talk, she's a character with her own voice, mannerisms, thoughts, and opinions that are completely separate from mine. Just like a voice actor in a TV show is not the character they play, I am not Tonkatsu. I'd think it would be obvious, but some people have a hard time wrapping their heads around that concept. Maybe it's because there's so many crazy people on the internet who actually think they're anime girls.
Anyway, point is, a lot of the events Tonkatsu recounts in previous videos are fictional as well. However, in this particular case, what she says is pretty much 1:1 with my actual experience in terms of how I ended up watching Symphogear. The "series of unfortunate events" detailed here is true, and I honestly have very little recollection of the show.
It was fun though, and I'll probably watch it again when I'm not mentally compromised so that I can actually follow the story.
I spent this whole month writing and recording videos in a batch, so the next one's already recorded and part way edited. That'll be dropping before the end of this week. See you guys soon.
