Funny how she doesn't remember that.
Always a treat to draw Seina, even if it means we're entering the trauma zone. This little chunk of flashback isn't too bad, though.
As a point of reference, this takes place a couple days after the Christmas Eve flashback in Chapter 4.
(EDIT: I've had a bit of confusion on the third panel, it'll be clarified on the next page but that's a young Masako, not Leo.)

Unless I forgot their ages, think she’d be about five and Masako’s somewhere between eight to ten? Uncertain, but perhaps Masako remembers her? If so, then how come Ryoko doesn’t? Did she subconsciously block out a lot to do with her best friend due to the grief of losing her? Either way, as upsetting as these next few pages will be, kinda looking forward to them and it’s a relief to know Hana’s lot in life will eventually improve. Can’t imagine Ryoko’s going to be happy with herself upon learning whose daughter Hana is though.
