Lore Drop on Theresia: Theresia was OP since birth. Before even receiving the DP of the Sword Saint she was born with DP of Death God meaning any injury she caused onto others they will not stop bleeding. This is why she hated the sword. Being born into a family that raises swords man/woman she felt cursed from the start since any little training/sparing she had with her family could be fatal because of Death God. Cut content: when she gained the Sword Blessing the sword god was laughing at her and she continued to hear this laugh, mocking her, for most of her life... Lots more lore regarding her and Wilhelm to go over but if you are interested i recommend reading the novels since REZero lore is soooo dense and lots of things cant possibly be put into the anime. Dragon Sword Lore: This is the first time we see Rein pull out the legendary sword, this sword it is said to have killed witches, dragons and demon gods and it has judged Theresia worthy so that just speaks to her strength... That being said, Reins strength is in a different galaxy as he defeated her in one strike. The sword cannot be put back into its sheat until it kills something. Why is Reinhard blamed for Theresias death: This is not in the anime or novels but the author has stated that Reinhard received the Sword Saint blessing because he wished for it. This makes sense in that Rein never denies the blame also why his father and Wilhelm cast blame on him since Rein decided to wish for the blessing in Theresias time of need after not being in a fight in decades. Lastly: It seems all this blame, expectations, responsibility, abandonment has kinda messed up Reinhard. He in a sense has lost his humanity, is he really this perfect human or is he just playing the part??? As puck said to him in one of the alternative worlds: "Youre a hero, Reinhard. And a hero is all that you will ever be"
