I’m glad you’re doing this, especially since Jackie-Ross Lavender is doing the same thing with season two, so I’m kind of seeing both seasons rewatched at the same pace. One thing I’m struck by is how young they all look at this point. Of course, the whole thing of a group chat among high school friends was not remotely available to me when I was that age because it was well pre-cell phones. It is always interesting to think about how stories would be told from a different characters point of view. I don’t know if you are familiar with the series of books that begin with “something like summer” by Jay Bell, in which the novels cover the same overall story from the perspective of each of its major characters. They really are quite good.
