This only currently affect reptiles in that you need a licence to sell and have to meet certain standard's. Breeders and shops I have spoken to mainly seem worried that the people enforcing may not always know what's best. As an example my local pet shop has an adult snake who will not eat if kept in the size of tank they recommend. However no system is perfect my feeling on the whole is overall this may be a step in the right direction.

As an example a gene that caused more pain for an animal could also cause increased sex drive in theory. What are your thoughts on more regulations within the hobby generally?
