It seems like the bodyguard/spy Cotyar would probably be around the same age as Chrisjen's deceased son since they worked together in the UN military, they mentioned this once or twice so far, so I'm thinking that Cotyar has become almost like a surrogate son figure for Chrisjen. Also the actress who plays Dr. Reverend Anna was on the tv series Lost. So it was pretty cool seeing that actress again for Lost fans.

2023-06-17 04:23:33 +0000 UTCThe storyline you're seeing on Earth, where we see politicians talking politics and planning the war, is original to the show. Something like it was presumably happening at the same time during the novels, but we didn't SEE it (We stayed with Chrisjen and Bobbie in space, so we only saw what they saw). When they got to this part of the TV series they decided to expand what happened on Earth so they could bring in Anna Volovodov early. She appears later in the novels, and they introduced her here so we'd have more time to build with the character. It's one of the changes that I think worked well, since it's nothing DRAMATIC but it gives us more insight and exposure to the characters.
