And the skz trailers generally have very little in common with the actual album. But like… anyone holding a ripped piece of cardboard with serial killer writing saying free hug is creepy. 😂

You might be thinking of a concert performance of Maniac/Venom because you’ve watched the stage version. We all seem to have some collectible mis-memory. But I mean I have you have that little recall of it then maybe just watch it again to cover Venom and Maniac? 🤷♀️

Maniac was the first tour after unlock and the album shared similar themes, which were about 'unlocking' their potential and breaking free from limitations. The album has the same themes but are more personality specific— they're breaking away from the mold (normalcy) and are true to themselves (odd-inary). Oddinary also released after they finally found their sound and came into their own. They were now comfortable making whatever music they wanted without necessarily focusing on popularity. So to me, the breaking of the lock symbolizes them being free from their past self-conscious selves who were trying to conform. Ofc this is hindsight bias cuz I didn't find them until '23 so I could be way off

2025-07-15 17:46:32 +0000 UTCi’ve always been curious about what the kids look like in person!! a lot of stays who’ve seen them say they’re even more beautiful in real life, and that pictures just don’t do them justice.. some even said they’re taller in person (🤨😆), hyunjin apparently doesn’t even look real, seungmin is surprisingly tall and way more handsome, han on stage is too hot to handle, and everyone else too!! i’ll stop here before i go on forever 😭 what about you guys? i’m so curious!! i’d love to hear your reviews both on how unreal they are and what they really look like up close, so i can add it to my mental diary until the day i finally get to see them myself 🥹

The key/unlock is in reference to unlocking yourself from the 'ordinary' I believe. Be true to you sort of thing, even if it's odd. I don't remember if you guys watch the MAMA Maniac/Venom - but it's def worth watching again haha. Would def love a concert video. I don't have a specific question I don't think beyond of course; Was it everything you'd hoped it would be, what surprised you the most and were there any aspects that you were disappointed by?

You guys were so hype but the video quality and sound were so bad. I remember you screen were so greenish. And now it gone misterically. 2025-07-15 16:14:42 +0000 UTCI do have what is probably an oddly specific question about your concert experience, but it's one I've talked about with other Stays and I'd love your perspective. Most if not all songs, especially from KPop groups have an expectation of being performed at a concert, so choreography or other things are a consideration from the get-go. For songs like the solos from the first half of the dominATE tour and the duo songs from this second half, those songs were very intentionally if not written, at least polished and completed with the mindset of performing them during the tour. From my experience, I've found that seeing the duo performances live gave me greater appreciation of those songs specifically. I enjoyed all of them, and they all have a place in various playlists for me, but seeing the performance emphasized them in the part of my brain/soul that loves music in a way I didn't expect. In the HOP intro they talked some about their intentions behind the songs, including what they wanted to bring as part of the performance, and that also influenced the MVs for the solo songs too. So bottom-line I guess my question is did seeing the duo songs live (or really any song) change your perspective or how you felt about the song.

I think Felix is often the main character or first one shown in these trailers, as he is often called the 'Face of the Group' the member who is most easily recognisable due to his angelic/ striking look mixed with deeeeeeep/ memorable voice, casual fans, Baby STAY and even non fans usually recognise him first. ... plus he is one of the main spokes people for SKZ being extroverted, and an english speaking native so able to help Chan out there when overseas etc. The close up on the lock Felix is holding and him wearing his Hyunlix ring just before Hyunjin pushes him out the window makes me giggle.

So he goes from AU to AU and encounters different versions of the other members each time. The others also have their own things (like the Lee Knows have some awareness of what's going on, the Seungmins can manipulate things around them and affect other worlds, etc.), but Felix is the one who's consistently the same person and is going from place to place, instead of being alternate versions of himself. As for the lock, I think it symbolizes what's keeping him tied to the "normal" world, and it breaks once he agrees to join this band of weirdos and leave that behind. This was such a good mix of funny and sinister. Also, I'm in love with Han's hat.

2025-07-15 13:02:03 +0000 UTCI feel like I remember seeing you watch the MAMA performance on a livestream... but it might be fun to rewatch after seeing the trailer because it does link into the lore a bit. For me- I think the lock is meant to represent breaking free- the idea of being chained into a certain way of being because of society and releasing those chains to be free and weird. It's a horror concept but actually they're all just being weird in their own way, Changbin looks scary but is a cuddly guy, Seungmin seems odd but is random and cute. The weirdness looks strange and scary until you embrace it and then it's just a cool strength.

And ODDINARY & MANIAC is about accepting all of your flaws or weirdness and etc. So at the end when Felix said Yes, the lock broke. Meaning he has opened up and fully embraced being Oddinary.

Yea you guys definitely watched the video somewhere. Don't ask me where bcuz my brain doesn't work that way. BUT i don't mind watching it again with you guys. See if I were to see something strange that happened while I was looking in the window of the store i would not then 2 seconds later, walk into that store. Yeah, I'm not entirely sure what's going on with Han's character. I just know that he looks absolutely adorable in that fit. To be fair, I'm not sure what's going on with any of the characters, because what do you mean Seungmin brought Felix a black heart cake with a picture of baby Seungmin on it? See, I feel like personally, oddinary is my favorite trailer, and then no easy is my second favorite trailer and then maxident is my third favorite trailer. You know what? I don't think I actually ever seen the making of the trailer, so this is definitely going to be fun to watch but also purple Lee Know, I love it. See, I have never seen the show death note. But that is what it got compared to a lot. When I first saw the trailer and after seeing the side by side comparisons, I'd definitely see it. It's hilarious, that I.N says that changben is the one that annoys him the most when it was changbin that he essentially cussed at in that SKZ Code, when they went to Australia recently. Whay is a launch pad? Is that the thing that they call it when it holds sounds to make music. Yes, that's the outfit that he was wearing. It's kind of sad because he was only in the trailer for like a couple of minutes compared to everybody else, but yeah, that's what he was wearing. Who is maple story? Uh, yes, please. I would absolutely love for you guys to like, sit down and talk about your skz concert experience even more than just the post that we got.
