[Tier 3] ATEEZ - The World Ep 2: Outlaw Showcase

1. We skipped the Thanxx performance as well as the following interview/game section
2. So we watched This World, Outlaw, Utopia, Twilight + Stay, and Bouncy performance
3. The subtitles ARE off-sync (and generally horrible) since it was live, we think - but we did put our own subtitles during some of the early interview segment so feel free to just watch along and you won't really be missing a lot in terms of the interview itself + what we're saying about it.
4. On that note, the reason we skipped the later game section was because of the horrendous subtitle situation and because we thought they said everything meaningful at that point of the showcase. As we say, IF you want to see us react to the whole thing, we're absolutely down to do so - we had a blast with it anyways; the cut was due to the integrity of the video itself and nothing more!

I remembered watching this and asking what was going on with Jongho, because he eventually left the stage. Turned out it was his knee. The one he eventually needed surgery for. So I think his face was one of actual pain.

You know these guys can put on one helluva show when you get pretty hurt and almost un-alived by some bad crowd crush, but choose to stay through the pain and still end up having an amazing time on the whole. Part of it is that *they* so clearly love performing, and even among them, it was Bouncy was hittin’ different. Bouncy HongJoong hits different. It’s like Bouncy HJ is HJ On Vacation or something

Only missed a bit of the first song. I love watching your videos! You give a lot of insights that we don't get from other reactors. And I just love you guys' energy. You're fun to watch. This showcase was absolutely amazing. It was cool to hear some of the songs before their official release and I LOVE the lore heavy choreo of This World!! The poor guys were so hot though. 2023-09-29 23:03:34 +0000 UTCThis was so fun! I have not seen it before, but yes, we are used to the live subtitle chaos, even though we are spoiled by KQ subtitling everything else. Also, you will get used to seeing this....on stage, at concerts, at showcases, in interviews, on variety shows....they might start out fairly organized and on track, but it ALWAYS ends up in disorganized chaotic disagreements, bickering, and all of them talking over each other and insisting on things and correcting each other :D #AteezThings

Thank you is one of my ult favorites. I love seeing them on stage and have already proclaimed I’m ready to sell a child the next time they come to the states to see them. ATINY in Korea posted video to Twitter when they stood next to the trucks that Hong Joong and Wooyoung voiced (https://x.com/ddalgijohwa/status/1662372160969789444?s=20). They also did giveaways locally when they made live appearances; the merch came off of trucks that had ATEEZ boxes on them (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Fys1cw7aUAIjd7N?format=jpg). Also, ATINY usually vote and/or do funding drives to get members on signs in subways, on the big billboard in Times Square NYC, and in other world locations, usually for their birthdays. Jongho's is the next birthday, and there are some subway signs that have just been purchased to celebrate. We usually see several people who have camped out in NYC to catch video of the ads showing there. 20:35 Re Yeosang as Maltese and Doberman: in the early years, fans and members used to say (and Yeosang agreed) that he resembled a Maltese -- cute, fluffy, sweet. As he's changed/grown/bulked over the years, he proclaimed himself a Doberman. There's a lot of pushback because he's often so cute, but then you see him give the demon line a run for their money (see: Halazia) and you can absolutely see the Doberman. 21:38 They've had a few birthdays on tour, including Hong Joong's, where he ended up having his face shoved into his cake by Wooyoung. 28:21 The Jongho stare is everything. 32:15 If I recall, apparently the fan brought the rose, and Seonghwa took it, sang, and returned it. I wouldn't have lived through the moment, honestly. 44:03 thank you so much for the subtitles! And yes, they have Thanxx, and Thank You. 45:06 There's SO much content from them that you can choose something that isn't subtitled on the fly. :) 50:02 I cannot get over the fact that people actually stay in their seats during concerts in Korea. I saw them in January of 2022 in Newark when they restarted The Fellowship Tour post COVID, and then when they came again in November, I went both nights! They have the honor of being my first ever KPOP concert, as I only got into KPOP at the end of 2020.

It's possible that there weren't subs live, just added a few days later or something. That's one of the reasons why I don't watch these things live. Thanks for reacting to this!

2023-09-28 18:47:45 +0000 UTCI remember watching this while I was at work. It was so fun. The laggy subs are a bit annoying, but at this point I am used to it when watching live content haha. The whole Doberman and maltese thing with Yeosang: He is often called a maltese (especially with his longer fluffy hair!) because he can be quite cute, but he really wants to be a Doberman, so it became a bit of an inside joke that he'd ask the members/Atiny to call him a doberman but then they wouldn't haha. (even though I think we all know when he's performing he is DEFINITELY a tough, rough Doberman (and they can be extremely cute as well, I grew up with one!).
