The Halloween Holiday Pack Is Almost Ready For Testing!

In January, we shared that we had a "long road ahead" with making the seasonal events permanent DLCs, and we're finally at a point where we're almost ready to start testing the release-worthy version of the Halloween Holiday Pack!

Thanks a ton for your patience, doods! We're wrapping up a few final tweaks and aim to drop the beta for this very soon (depending on how smoothly our internal checks go) - and we hope you're looking forward to seeing Halloween again!

On the surface, this DLC won't "look" much different than the original limited-time Halloween event, but we've actually taken the time to completely restructure everything about the spur-of-the-moment holiday from the ground up.

• We made it so the event won't bloat your base game if you don't want it added!
• We made it so you can toggle the DLC on and off if you don't feel like seeing the Halloween aesthetic during a certain playsession!
• We made it so the content won't cause any foreseeable major bugs/issues with the base game long-term by being added!
• And, best of all, we future-proofed this baby! 🤘

What does "future-proofed" mean?

First, it means we made it so we can add extra content (cosmetics, decorations, side-quests, achievements, etc.) to the Halloween Holiday Pack as time permits!

It's built to support more content updates, doods! But, even better, it means we can add some exciting new features to the DLC in the future.

While we don't want to spoil everything, we've started running an invisible framework beneath this DLC for something really exciting.

You shouldn't see a difference (unless you encounter an early beta bug) while playing or navigating the menus, but it's there, brahs.

We'll share a deep dive about what exactly is coming to the Halloween DLC soon - but let's just say we've discussed the possibility of this functionality in previous posts, and you can see a little sneak peek in the top image of this post! 😉
