Rainbow covered this song with Doogie White. Technically, it isn’t even really a cover. Richie Blackmore wrote the song. Richie Blackmore is Deep Purple’s legendary guitarist. Richie Blackmore is the lead guitarist in Rainbow. So, not a cover.

2022-04-30 06:58:51 +0000 UTCI don’t know where you guys ever saw that Dio covered this song with Rainbow. Dio was already on his own and never went back to Rainbow after this song was released. You did mention Dream Theater. They performed it live with Bruce Dickinson.
