Update from 30.09.2020

I'm sending new update, some members will receive update tomorrow

- RGB sliders and displacement check fixed - have no clue why it was broken

- IBL Mask with MSAA fixed

- added new algorithm for anisotropic surfaces

- attempt to fix VR


Anisotropic

I found new way to implement anisotropic lighting (some kind). To keep previous version I created param in custom_shading.fx - ANISOTROPY_MODE. If this parameter will be set to zero, then current technique will be used, if you will set this param to 1, then will be used new algorithm - it produce more interesting result. Once again amount of anisotropy can be controled by texture in stage4/blue channel. This is amount so it should be constant for material and not depend from normals, albedo and so on.

VR

My headset not supported anymore, so I cant test it completelly right now, but I tried correct whole rendering for both eyes surfaces and I'm think that result are correct, but then both surfaces should be passed in correspond services (oculus/openvr) and final result depends from it - and I cant test it, my headset do not show final result.

about the same thing happened to hongfire, there was some kind of exploit going around with bulletins and HF is pretty much gone for good with the exception of archives. wondering if the bots finally got MG as well, this doesn't look like a simple database error.

VR still doesn't work for me (Pimax4k) even if the game crashes later now it still crashes when I press F3 (very narrow FOV blinking and freeze for 2 seconds and then ...crash...)

I really hope it's just a temporary hiccup and it comes back soon. It's been over a week I believe.

What happened to modsgarden ;( ?

VR for Oculus is working well. The resolution before you enter VR is also correct now, allowing you to select from menus on you screen before pressing F3 to enter VR. Nice work!

yeah I find it kind of fishy it says aliexpress for me too.. thought maybe I had malware!

I noticed modsgarden being unavailable right after this latest release when I tried to get information about the problem with the skins. Now I'm getting forwarded to Aliexpress. Did modsgarden lose their account? Yes I have the same problem with the skins. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but the norm files are what gives the object texture. Some of the body norm files are not being accessed and none of the head norm files.

Have the same problem with the skins they are very shiny and can see the joins at the shoulders and the neck, reverted to the previous build

all 4x bodyskins have gone goldish colour. 1x customskins seems fine

I got some different hairs from modsgarden, and a couple require .apx files with the name *_longfront or *_hightail. Where can these files be acquired?

I'm getting weird scaling issues when using fResolutionScale = 1.5 or anything over 1. I used to run this at 1.5 and had no issues. Under this update, the resolution scaling is off and moving the camera around feels off centre and feels like your drunk. Also iUseMSAA is producing some really weird lighting issues on skins - is this normal? Can you check these please?

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for fixing the VR mode and for the update of course. One thing I noticed is that while in VR the transparency of the UI is first black and then turns transparent after loading a pose. Another thing that happens sometimes is that some objects are turning from coloured to black and back. This does also happen when loading the game in desktop mode.
