Hey everyone, I have some more chapter three concept and planning stuff. I'm sharing with goblin tier+ so feel free to leave feedback and suggestions.
I have a basic idea of what I want to happen in chapter 3 but a lot of details still need to be worked out. So far I'm planning for three main areas that will be along a coastal area and inside volcanic caves.
The main monster group is going to be some kind of dragon type and hero will gain the dragonform. I would also like to have an additional monsterform available by this point in the game, either from a side quest or as a part of chapter 3's mission.
The dragonform would specialize in breath attacks, like fire breath, lightning breath, etc. which would do elemental damage to enemies.

At this time I'm undecided about adding wings to this form. One thing to consider is whether they will get in the way of any (or every) animation that exists and will exist in the game and the work involved in updating every animation. So it's not an easy thing. One option is that the wings can grow/disappear on command which can explain away the option that are not always visible.
True flying would probably not make it into the game because of the way the levels are built but maybe a double jump/gliding ability would be more feasible.
I'll need to figure out a way to differentiate dragon folk from the goblins and we probably won't jump straight into them at the start of the chapter. Ch2 added around 4 new monster types (mantrap, direwolf, goblin, faerie) so I want to aim for a similar variety for ch3. There could be a new slime/tentacle based monster, or a new werebeast somewhere in the mix.
