I apologize in advance for the long winded post, but I feel like a few things need to be addressed, and honestly I’m feeling anxious so getting them off my chest is necessary.

I worked for WSU for the last time a few years ago now. Now, before I began with WSU, DJ Hyde (owner of WSU) would call me regularly. On more than one of these calls he would say things like, “Just know, if you join the roster, I can fuck you any time I want. I only book girls I would fuck”.

On one occasion, my then boyfriend, Jon Gresham, heard him say that because the phone was on speaker. Jon was livid, but I BEGGED him to not say anything because I was so desperate for an opportunity in wrestling, and I felt that WSU was my last opportunity.

Fast forward to today. Things start coming out about DJ selling footage of WSU and CZW to a third party. The main issue of this comes from the description and “rebranding” of the footage that this third party media uses. They use WSU footage for cable PPVs and essentially portray women wrestlers as softcore porn stars. (To be candid: NOTHING wrong with softcore porn stars, if that’s what you portray yourself as. They probably make way more money than wrestlers too.) Unfortunately that is not what we were doing, as all the girls busted their asses in these matches for very little pay.

Needless to say, seeing the descriptions of “cat fights” and titles such as “Double D Destruction” did not sit well with all of the women who have sacrificed their bodies in wrestling.

So, women began to speak out. Every woman has a “DJ Hyde” story, and I had no idea how wide spread it was until everyone started speaking out. It seemed as though he sexually harrassed dozens of women (mostly younger/just starting out in wrestling) over the years.

I say this because I feel a lot of guilt for not coming forward sooner. I knew he was like this, but didn’t say anything. Why? I couldn’t say. Hearing the stories of the younger women in wrestling and how recently they’ve been harassed just makes me sick. I know most of my patrons are men and probably aren’t interested in hearing about this sort of thing, but I just had to get it off my chest and hopefully not have such a heavy day.
