Thorkell was angry at Canute because his methods aren’t what thorkell wants. He probably sees it as cowardly. Thorkell is a Viking who wants non stop action. Canutes poison avoids wars with the opposition. Also although mappa took over, it’s still the same team from Wits Vinland. So same director (Shuhei Yabuta), character design+ animation director (Takahiko Abiru), music (Yutaka Yamada), composition (Hiroshi Seko). It’s a passion project for that team and they work closely with the Author (Makoto Yukimura). The askeladd flashback had some reused scenes and some new scenes. The only noticeable difference in production this season is them leaving eyes out of the drawings from far range. It’s to save time for the more important scenes.
