Segaiden 1988: The best and worst of Master System so far

Believe it or not, we are right around the halfway mark of our journey through the American Master System library. Sad news for Sega fans, no doubt a relief for the haters. Anyway, it seemed only appropriate to pause for a moment to take stock of the highs and lows of this adventure so far, and to praise the games that maximize the console's capabilities while showcasing what makes it stand apart from Nintendo's console.

Edit: Sorry this went up late! I meant to post it this morning, but Patreon's ever-changing front end for posting caused me to click the wrong button and I accidentally set it to go live in two weeks.

Looking forward to the book!

I’ll take this opportunity to say that Alex Kidd in Miracle World has multiple revisions, and most (all?) the built in ones used the same button layout as Mario on the NES. Not sure whether that’s the same patch that replaced the Onigiri with a burger in the interstitial between levels.

I think starting with Wonderboy and Monsterland last week , alot of my favorite games for the system are coming up outside of a few early favorites.

Such a great video. I've enjoyed your "halfway videos". It gives me a chance to remember what has been covered over the past years. It's also a joy to see so many games I haven't played yet on the Top 10 list. Fantasy Zone: The Maze will be played today! You may want to check the Space Harrier 3-D card at 17:02. It's currently the Fantasy Zone II card.

Oooh, excited to see if Shinobi is next.
