That rubric holds true here; Wario Land II is genius, and I could have gone on much longer about it if I'd really wanted to. But you gotta draw the line somewhere, so you'll have to settle for a mere 20 minutes of me raving about it.

Both Wario Land II and 3 really are pretty incredible for what they are. It seems like one of the best uses of an invulnerability mechanic - really puts the focus on the stage design and power-up puzzles and causes it to become more of a puzzle-platformer. I enjoyed it greatly and some of the later stages like the 'real' last stage are some of the more challenging platforming levels I've encountered of any game, but it all balances out very well since you can't be set-back that much.
