Sorry, but I will not be watching this series. As a Star Wars fan, I'm disappointed with the bs Disney keeps bringing in. They keep ruining Star Wars. Also, the lead actor/actress of this series 'The Acolyte' has made some very some offensive comments towards the audience. Other than that, I do look forward to you starting 'The Bad Batch.'

2024-06-06 22:26:09 +0000 UTCTo be fair, the phrase "it's a time of peace" only mean we don't have a war that spans a whole galaxies like with the clone wars or the Rebellion. We still have Clans/Planets/Species that are in conflict, Slavery is still a thing in the outer parts of the Galaxies, Pirates are still trying to do pirate things. Nearly every Planet has its own Security Forces who are kinda like military (Naboo Royal Guard /gungan Army/ Moncala Army(that we see in the one clone wars episode with shirtless Kit Fisto underwater))

It makes sense the Jedi would be martial arts experts, as peace keepers you would want to be able to stop a threat without resorting to a lightsaber. I also like that they tell us it's 100 years before the prequel movies. How long has this time of peace lasted? Several hundred years at least. The republic doesn't even have a military force at this point, that's how peaceful it is apparently. In Episode II: Attack of the Clones it's a big deal when the Senate votes to give the Chancellor the authority to create an army for the republic. So I think at this point the Jedi are doing all the peace keeping. Bit of trivia, the ship that Osha was working on was a Trade Federation ship. 100 years later the Trade Federation invades Naboo in Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
