Def one of (there's so many) things I love about The Expanse, it displays characters as real life works! The majority of times things are not black n' white though we as humans tend to make the mistake of taking on such a perspective in everything (topics, people, opinions). Reality teaches that there's not many things in this life that are black n' white so I love how The Expanse has complex characters. Perspectives shown from any "bad guys" that go beyond "I'm evil/bad just to be evil/bad" with outlandish reasons for being so bad! I agree with your take about S4 as well. Folks love to chime in on every reaction channel about how "S4 sucks or how they didn't like it!" For me S4 while different from what took place S1-S3 was still good in its on right. It also tackled more details about the characters, locations, system wide politics, and the protomolecule! As usual I look forward to your next two episodes!!

2024-05-12 13:10:12 +0000 UTCI really liked season 4, but I get why others wouldn't. It's a different vibe. Like you pointed out it's like a western, which I really enjoyed. I think that Ashford was trying to get Marco to think he was on his side. But he was baiting him, trying to get him to do the villain monologue. It almost worked. But when the time came to pass the death sentence on Marco, Ashford was like, "We have to kill him." He was not buying what Marco was selling. It's crazy to see the Roci's cannons fire close up like that on the ground. In the space battles the Roci's PDCs (Point Defense Cannons) look like little machine guns. But they fire 40 millimeter shells. A couple shots of those things onto the ground and you get large explosions and the RCE guys running away. In space battles each PDC can fire like 100 shots a second and the Roci has 6 of the PDC guns. They fire shots so quickly they'll run out of ammo in less than a minute. My point is that with the PDCs, the torpedos, and the new railgun the Roci has a crazy amount of firepower for such a small ship.
