I still remember watching these last few episodes when they dropped on Disney+. Several moments I had tears in my eyes. This is a story I’ve been wanting to see for so long get finished, & the way it wraps of the prequel stories was beautiful. This cliché gets tossed around: every frame a painting. I felt that way watching these 4 episodes. Dare I say some of my favorite storytelling in all of Star Wars. In particular the final shot. The symbolic imagery made my mouth drop. It’s beautiful but heartbreaking. Once you get to Rebels and the Ahsoka series, this series is going to feel even more impactful. Thank you Imon for reacting to this series and creating such inspiring & impactful discussions afterwards. I’m not trying to blow smoke, but since I was a kid very little people lived Star Wars like I did. I’m glad I found your channel & find someone who loves/appreciates the deeper meaning behind films/tv. From one Autistic person to another, seriously, thank you.

2024-03-14 19:07:05 +0000 UTCI noticed you pointed out the choir music at the start of the last episode. That's actually a variation of Qui-Gonn/Padme's funeral motif from the mainline movies. Kinda apt i'd say, because around the time that episode happens, is also roughly the time that Obi-Wan fights Anakin and Padme dies.

2024-03-11 22:51:39 +0000 UTCIt was a really good idea to rewatch Revenge of the Sith. It hits much harder now. Poor Jesse, Rex almost got through to him, he's been in the show since season 2 I think. This has been an incredible journey. Looking forward to Tales of the Jedi and the Bad Batch.

2024-03-10 19:27:46 +0000 UTCThe clone wars, just like revenge of the Sith, is all very tragic in the grand scheme of things. But with revenge of the Sith, it ends with Luke and Leia in their respective places for the future, there’s a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel. However, with the clone wars, there’s no light at the end of the tunnel, just tragedy and suffering. All of those clones lost all of those Jedi lost those scars of war are very fresh. It’s especially disheartening, considering how uplifting each episode of the clone wars was, but as the series dragged on, it got darker and darker relative to Revenge of the Sith, and the rise of the Empire. But brighter days will reach the horizon. Imon, I know you have Tales of the Jedi and Bad Batch to watch, but i wait for you to watch Rebels. Its a very grounded story with grounded characters and full of surprises.

Edit: I'm sure this comment section will be bombarded with fun facts, but it's worth looking up sometime all the work that went into the final arc. Like them bringing back Ray Park to do mo-cap for the Maul fight, something they hadn't done in this series before. And I know we have a lot to get through before you get to it, but I'm very excited for you to see Tales of the Jedi after this finale.
