So, this is kind of expanded on in the "Bad Batch" show, but essentially the Clones are much superior to the stormtroopers in terms of skill, but after the emergence of the Empire, the clones were no longer really needed, since they were expensive to "produce". Thus the empire switched over to conscripts for the bulk of their army(Stormtroopers and regular Army troopers).
So yeah, the Clones were pretty much discarded at the end of the Clone Wars, which is why we see a Clone veteran begging in this episode.
Also yeah, Obi-Wan obviously knew that Anakin was Darth Vader, however, for all Obi-Wan knew, Anakin died on Mustafar during the Revenge of the Sith movie.

Obi-Wan knew Anakin was Darth Vader, but he thought he died on Mustafar after he left him there. He didn't think he would survive his burns and amputations.

Oh you did see Dune, that was gonna be one of my questions. That movie was awesome, and Dune the book from 1965 was one of George Lucas's inspiration for Star Wars.
Some things to point out about the episode, that homeless clone trooper had blue markings on his armor, meaning that clone was in the 501st clone battalion who served under Anakin Skywalker in the clone wars. The 501st also exterminated the Jedi in the Jedi Temple during order 66. So the clone being one of Anakin's boys probably brought up a lot of emotions for Obi-wan. The Spice/drug dealer girl who Obi-Wan talks to is Ewan McGregor's real daughter. Finally a line that you might have missed, Obi-Wan tells Leia that some Inquisitors used to be jedi.
