Also the Spider scene it was real trained Spiders on Alfred Molina. First they covered him with them and they were not moving. Spielberg asked the trainer why they weren’t because it looked fake on camera due to no movement. Trainer said they were all males if you want them to move got to put a female on him. Speilberg said to go ahead and put the female on their and they got the shot.

Can’t wait till you see Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. To me it’s the best and deepest film of the franchise and has a lot of heart. It’s actually a father son character study with Sean Connery playing Indy’s dad, and that’s the one with the Holy Grail. Also, has a scene with a young Indy played by Jaquain Phoenix’s late brother, River Phoenix. Also, Indiana Jones 5 comes out next year with Harrison Ford’s last film as this character at age 80.

Thanks for this Imon, I used to watch the VHS of this as a kid in the 90s a couple times a year. This was great.
So, I'll try to answer your question of how did Indiana know not to look at the ark at the end. Well, there's a lot of Old Testament stuff about not looking at God or his angels doing their thing. There's usually a theme of mortals just not being able to survive looking at God or the supernatural in the old testament. Like in the book of Genesis the city of Sodom was destroyed and Lot's wife looked back at the angels destroying Sodom and she was turned to a pillar of salt for looking back. So Indiana, being a person who went to Sunday school, cynical as he may be, and a guy who studied various myths and folklore and archeology would probably know not to look at the ark once things start to get weird.
Finally, just a heads up on the next Indiana Jones movie, it's actually a prequel, Raider of the Lost Ark takes place in 1936, the next film Temple of Doom takes place in 1935 I think.
