BoJack Horseman 6x15 REACTION

Hey everyone, the video has been fixed to have the correct sync.

BoJack Horseman 6x15 REACTION

Comments

I thought the bird was maybe the nurse trying to resuscitate BoJack.

Eat Me

The bird was seen in season 3, episode one, when Todd was monologuing from the window in New York, she jumps down to kill herself ("crap, forgot I could fly!")

BetheSOUL

It's one of the best pieces of writing I have ever heard, and I'm extremely critical and cynical and don't like most things. Every young person in the world should hear it. Powerful stuff.

Deviant Parker

Fun fact: Bojack realise he's dead in the minute 17 of this episode

JoloPolo

Could be a play on the Red Herring

anixxander

How is it a massive reach by my saying this is what the inclusion represents to me? I’m sorry I don’t ascribe to the common fan theory. PS: Hydrangeas mean sympathy much kore commonly not death. They are associated with death via sympathy. Buncha gate keeping Andys in here.

Nate Judge

The flower was also symbolism of death

Kaea Edwin

The symbolism of a bird trapped in your house is usually associated with impending doom, bad news, or death.

Evan D Marlow

this seems like a massive reach

ryan

@Foaming Clean I think I saw it more as a personal thing? Bojack kind of considering how pointless Crackerjack's death was and how little was accomplished by all the trauma it inflicted on their family. But yeah, it casts everything in a pretty different light.

Avery Winther

As far as the bird. My personal thoughts are that they do a lot of tying up on the reality of some of their more callus jokes. I think the bird is supposed to represent a dead child from a cut away gag where he’s telling a bird mother in a window ‘it’s not your fault’ and the truth of that gag is that he saw a child die and it would be something traumatic and emblematic of the fragility of life.

Foaming Clean

Yeah. It is all in his head, that’s why I love the Crackerjack friendly fire thing. Like even during this he’s still projecting his trauma like ‘fuck this guy I bet he’s not even a war hero and just killed our troops!’.

Foaming Clean

Is the video cutting to black at 30ish minutes for anyone else?

Matthew Fortuna

The "view from halfway down" poem is terrifyingly life changing

Jason Michael

Appreciate you both for being vulnerable and sharing your experiences with us. Glad to still have you with us Imon because you and Abi have you really created a great channel and community.

mundanelotus

The episode we all have been waiting for

Matthew Fortuna

Honestly this is one of the best episodes in the series not only because of the dialogue but for all the symbolism in the episode. For example the random bird is likely a reference to an old Celtic superstition in which a bird flying into your house is meant to fortell an important message but if the bird dies while in the house it fortells death. And even though we see Bojack chase the bird out of the house at one point we see it a second time and this time the bird dies before it can escape through the window.

Gotta say, this has probably been my favorite reaction ever. Just for the honesty and openness about yall's struggles, fears and triumphs. You both are doing a great thing.

D

If you max their volume on the full reaction, you can use their audio to fix the sync and then work from there. Again, no hate, I can't imagine editing all these videos.

Ilana Pallazola

Woah, is this whole edit off sync? I thought it was just the full. No offense, but this is a really meaningful, important episode, maybe re-edit? its a full 10-15 seconds off. I mean, no hate to the editor, you're doing you're best, and I'm sure its a hell of a workload but. I wouldn't be mentioning it if it wasn't super off sync, their reacting to things fully different than what's being shown, I'd hate for such an important reaction with such an amazing discussion to hit Youtube like this.

Ilana Pallazola

Well the thumbnail kinda answers my question on thoughts about the episode also even if you separated the releases i hope you didnt wait a week or even the day in between to watch the final episode

Daniel Gonzalez

This episode is definitely... very effective suicide prevention. One thing that's so interesting is that since it's all happening in Bojack's head, everything everyone says is just his own thoughts and feelings. Like, he doesn't *know* if his dad really cared and was afraid to show it, he doesn't *know* if Secretariat regretted jumping. But he feels that way, and he wants *them* to have felt that way. It's hard to imagine when you first start watching this show how... heavy and artistic it is. But I don't think anyone can watch it and not do some pretty hefty reflecting on their own traumas. Imon, your openness is so admirable. Take good care of yourself <3

Avery Winther

I was waiting for you guys to react to this episode it’s honestly my no.1 favourite episode of bojack and hit me hard cause I’ve had these thought, I still have them every now and then but when I was a teenager(I’m Gen z) my mind was constantly feeling this when I went to bed and just having the thought that eventually one day everyone ik and me will pass away and one of the scariest things that exist in this world is always the unknown, not knowing what’s gonna happens next was always scary and when I had these thought I was scared cause with us humans we wanna believe there is something on the other side like for example people believe in heaven and hell or reincarnation or it’ll just be black and nothing, we wanna believe that there’s something but no one knows this it’s hard to say, no one will ever know what happens to you after death and no one ever will cause it’s that the unknown is the scariest thing so now I’m 19 and I’ve learned to not think about that as much now and I’m doing better, the thought always comeback every now and then but I’ve learned to just enjoy the moment to enjoy everything big right down to the small things and I’m just happy that way. This show is honestly one of my most favourite shows cause especially not many shows at the time really dealt with mental health and now it’s getting better. I can’t wait for you guys to react to the final episode and to those that are reading this, your fantastic and the best you can be is just by being you no matter what happens.

Kaea Edwin

Just got through your discussion, love both of y’all and how open you are to discuss such intimate issues. Also, if you are both interested there are plenty of videos online that do deep dives on this episodes symbolism, callbacks, etc. so much thought and care went into each and every detail for this episode. Definitely check it out if interested.

Trevor Gallucci

We love you both. I saw the thumbnail and knew this was going to be a tough reaction and discussion.

fr0st

Fun fact: This episode was written by Alison Tafel, the same person that wrote the episode "Stupid Piece of Shit." One would have to wonder if she's okay...

Chelle

I think the visuals for Bojack and your commentary isn’t in sync, seems off by a few seconds. Maybe that’s just me?

Trevor Gallucci

The first few minutes of that was a really apt description of why we all enjoy this wild and crazy show show that was great to hear
