PC and Ralph ended on a good note as people who respect each other, not as a possible couple. Ralph tried getting back together and she firmly rejected him saying that she had realized she had all the power to raise a child alone and not have anyone alongside her.

I don't know why you would think this season would end horribly. Every season thus far has ended on a hopeful note.

Kelsey knew it. We should all follow her example.

Bojack at the beginnning of the show thought of himself as a good person. Then starting around season 3 he thought of himself as a bad person. But that was wrong too. It was that attitude that made him keep Hollyhock at a distance and still hinders him from growing amd being better. Man I can't wait for them to start season 6. Truly a rollercoaster of emotion.

I believe the point is that, good and bad are simplistic ways to view things that ignore the nuance of chain reactions that leads to any situation.

There are people who are truly evil. But there thankfully aren’t too many of them.

I wanna live in a world where we all accept that we all have the capacity to be bojacks and diane's... And we stop asking each other silly self-defeating questions like "why would you do this for me?"

A cool character consistency with Diane is her belief that no one is a good or bad person. At the end of Season 1 she told BoJack that she doesn’t “believe in deep down”, and this episode she told him “we’re all just guys that do bad stuff sometimes and good stuff sometimes.” And honestly, that’s a really smart mindset to have. No one is truly bad, and the people that claim they’re bad “deep down” are just using that as an excuse to avoid changing for the better. I think that out of every message this show has to offer, that’s the one that resonated with me the most.
