The Legend of Korra 4x9 - "Beyond the Wilds" REACTION!!

The Legend of Korra 4x9 - "Beyond the Wilds" REACTION!!

Korra's interactions with Zaheer have been amongst my favorite in the entire series and I'll always says this: Korra's villains have all been better spiritual leaders than all her bending masters combined. Kuvira is the exception, but that's because she was more of an Ozai type villain. A final boss created for the sole purpose of giving Korra someone to take down. Amon taught her how to be humble. Being a bender doesn't make you better than any one else. Nor does being the Avatar. Unalaq taught her how to commune with spirits. Helped her restore balance to the world as well as bring back the Air Nation. Zaheer taught her how to connect with, not just travel to the Spirit World. He also taught her to accept, not just move on from the past.

it's a shame you guys skipped ep 8, it is a clip show and a recap, but it's also more of a commentary track over the show so there are good character moments. I'm not saying it's the best episode or even one of the better ones, but it is pretty fun knowing why the creators had to make this episode rather than lay off a huge amount of their staff. I would think about watching it before the last 2 so it serves as a recap

Thinking about it, would be really cool if they watched it a little bit after they've finished the whole series. Be a great way to send off the Avatar series considering they've not got any other Avatar shows to watch after this.

ahh even though 8 is a recap episode, i think it’s still a good watch. it gives you a lot of perspective on how korra sees herself and what she thinks of being the avatar. there’s also moments of certain people talking to korra to help her growth. and it’s also got some pretty funny moments. hopefully you guys can reconsider!

4x8 was made because Nick were being absolute shites to the Avatar team and said they either had to fire staff, or cut out episodes. They decided to do the latter, hence why we had a clip show rather than something a bit more ambitious like the Ember Island Players. For what they had to go on though I still think they managed to do a pretty good job, with Korra and Asami's bit being the only one where I felt they could have injected some more character moments into it

fun fact - President Raiko is no longer the president in the korra comics. *SPOILER*: ----------------it ends up being Zhu Li !

"You think your power has limits." "I say it is limitless!"... Preach On, Zaheer

I agree. The Korra segment is a big encapsulation of all of her themes and feelings that she isn't needed in a modern era, has a great moment with Tenzin and has a Korra and Asami moment that goes a long way. Not to mention the Varrick one is comedy gold. Such a shame.

I really like this episode. The lesson Korra learned about not needing to forgot and forgive but rather to acknowledge and grow from her experience really helped me. I'm also proud of her growth and liked that the path isn't always linear. :)

I skip this episode whenever I rewatch but that Varrick segment is pure gold imo and I wanted to see the laugh. But it's not that big of a deal in the long run I guess

Shark-ira

This absolute mad lad Zaheer is just floating in his cell

I think there's a couple good moments in there. Like the conversation with Tenzin and Korra are nice, but I think it's okay to skip and go back if they're really interested.

Then you must not see the development of Korra in her segment. Pretty important. Nothing wrong or boring about being nostalgic.

Lorenzo Baxter

Its not bad but its ehh, not really bothered that they skipped it

So you gals skipped episode 8? Ugh well thats kind of a yikers. It's not even that bad of am episode and you've seen fillers before.
