This is maybe the fifth channel I’ve seen where no one notices and then is surprised in the end. It’s not their fault, but it’s really frustrating and sad to watch. It was pretty obvious since Season 3, but still flies over people’s heads.

2021-04-27 23:03:25 +0000 UTCI love season 4, my one small gripe or problem with it is just that its potential is greater than the result that got put out. Certain characters, plot points etc. could have been fleshed out more than they were — for example there was supposed to be a Kuvira backstory episode which they ended up not being able to make, and they weren't able to give as much attention as needed to certain romantic subplots. Which I get it, time constraints, production issues, etc. It's just somewhat frustrating to be able to sense the potential it had yet know that it was never fully realized. Nickelodeon really did them dirty with this series — that being said, Season 4 is great in spite of not being as perfect as I know they were capable of making it. I don't get the people who say it's trash and whatnot, and this is coming from someone who initially dismissed it because of the whole robots thing.

2021-04-25 01:10:34 +0000 UTCSeriously! It's such a shame too as the show usually goes to great lengths to assess the strengths and weaknesses of each villains ideology, even for Unalaq. Yet absolutely nada for the equalists. I understand why they didn't have it in season 1 as they had major time crunches, but not having it even touched upon in season 2 seems criminal to me. Could have been a great Asami subplot rather than her just sort of hanging out in the background of Bolin and Mako's stories. What I'd give to have an updated LOK with an expanded episode count :(

2021-04-24 21:28:50 +0000 UTCDude its so funny you say that, when my friend and i were in college and majoring in writing (That changed quick with the realization of dead end career) we always laughed at that because its so true. Its just like "Poof" resolved and kind of just floats away. Amon had devout followers, and by all rights even if he was proven to be a fake, so many people still truly believed in the cause. It vanishing was kind of jarring.

2021-04-24 19:26:48 +0000 UTCI think the biggest issue in season 1 is that whilst they did deal with Amon, they never really had to deal with addressing his equalist ideology. They just sort of hand waved it away at the end by showing president Raiko as the new president, which rings rather hollow as it's like saying racism in America disapeared in 2008 with Obama's election. Season 2 would have been a great opportunity to address the aftermath in more detail, but sadly they were far too preoccupied with Unaloq shenanigans.

Season 1 with like an 8.5/10 4.) Season 2 with like a 5/10 Its so confusing cause amongst the fans I know, Season 3 and 4 are regarded as the best all around the board. So i dont necessarily see where the people are saying season 4 is meh. Its phenomenal. Season 1 is more controversial than season 4 among fans, but personally i still loved it. Hella strong way to start. but...thank god the show didnt end on season 2 because oof. Big oof.
