2021-02-28 02:06:55 +0000 UTCI agree one thing this show has been lacking is more Sokka style! I'm glad they added in him as someone who saved Korra as a kid. Would love to see that 4 on 4. Another thing i love about this backstory is it finally explains why Korra was isolated away by the white lotus. That was a big reason for her not trusting Tenzin and her dad in S2 and i'm glad it had a good purpose. Really awesome seeing the new Air Nation starting to come back together. It's everything Tenzin and Aang could of dreamed of.

But really that's true for almost anything. You can never know how what you created will be used centuries from now. The american constitution declares freedom for all yet nowadays some people use it to justify their hatred. You can't make guesses about everything that might happen in the future. You can only hope that your successors are strong or smart enough to withstand the fallout.

2021-02-27 16:22:17 +0000 UTCThank you. I think my and others frustration with Book 2 Korra is that it seemed like the lessons she learned in Book 1 were forgotten immediately just for drama. But honestly that was only in the first half and she was really great the rest of the season. And of course she just gets better in 3 & 4. Book 2 may be the weakest but it is still a very well written season with a lot of great moments and it gets unfairly hated. Better than most shows out there.

I agree with all your points in regards to her comparison to Aang, and have no doubt by the end of the series your opinions on her will only be reinforced by what's to come. Season 2 you see Korra at her most frustrating. From here on you witness the legend. Throughout the 4 seasons Korra reaches heights Aang could never even imagine was possible. An that is no disrespect to the og, it's just the facts. I just wanted to say thank you for making this a conversation, going against the grain, and not shying away from possible criticism from the gatekeepers.

(Not accounting for peoples greed and desire for power) but she did kind of what you're saying Korra should do. She implemented and created the Dai Li to be the cultural protectors and establishers of order of The City and Earth Kingdom....Which.. in a way... they have been doing.
