It's similar but there's a cursed energy explanation regarding it. You'll see the counterpart at one point too (Mechamaru is all cursed energy, no physical - we'll see all physical, no cursed energy).

2021-02-03 02:40:12 +0000 UTCThe guy controlling mechamaru probably believed he was only useful as jujutsu sorcerer and not good for anything else so he's probably lived most of his life not really wanting much else. Also they called panda a cursed corpse so I'm not sure if the principal imbued him with cursed energy or he was born with it. He said cursed corpses are man made so I'm sure we'll get more info on that down the road

2021-02-02 20:14:15 +0000 UTCMechamaru possibly has butterfly disease, which is something people can be born with. It's a condition when the smallest thing can leave him deeply injured. Unfortunately, since it's something genetic there is no cure for it. Only things that can stifle the pain and help with mobility - which is possibly why he is where he is and is using the Mechamaru puppet.
