honestly korra and her attitude was one of the worst things about season 2 and a big reason why people disliked the show imo. She feels like she's regressed and become bratty even compared to her worst in season 1. I think it's because season 1 was meant to be a miniseries and then season 2 got greenlit. It made it difficult for them since Korra had matured throughout season 1 which was supposed to be the climax of her story. That left a lot of the weaker writing excusable because it was a miniseries. when legend of korra became a series it left them scrambling which left them at a loss which left them resusing a lot of the weaker elements of season 1 to compensate, like Korra needing to mature and the love triangle. Later on season 2 gets better and so does korra, leaving 3+4 pretty good seasons overall, but its a slog to get through the beginning of 2

2020-12-27 02:29:55 +0000 UTCKorra felt a little out of character for the first half of season 2. Yes, she's very hot headed and aggressive but it felt even more so then s1. And there were times I thought she'd defend/trust her friends or family but she wouldn't. It was frustrating to watch but I didn't ever get to hate her. So its understandable to find her annoying rn and I'm glad you guys give her the benefit of the doubt since she really is inexperienced with relationships and responsibilities. :)

But I just try to remember that she basically grew up shelted and spoiled with no idea on how to deal with certain relationships (romantic or platonic) cuz she been surrounded by masters and old people who not only kept her from a normal childhood and society but also fueled her ego for years by telling her how she's the most important person and so strong and she comes first, etc

Theres absolutely a difference between power developments and character. Korra is genuinely unlikable here. Thats okay. Its a nice contrast to aang, who really didnt have much character development until the last season and a half of ATLA at ALL. It was all power developments. Character development in atla was largely based around katara, toph, zuko, and sokka. Pretty much all others except for aang (Until around end of season 3)
