Thought I'd go ahead and post this here as well.

Real Talk: Perspectives on Race, BLM and Personal Insight

Comments

I love what you guys had to say. Thank you so much for sharing your views and feelings about everything.

Richard Steiner

I'll say that statistics aren't everything but they are important to show that America is NOT racist even though there are a few bad apples. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBDfMQ27Asw

GeezLaWeez

I appreciate your insights.

Hello Imon & Abby I totally agree with you and As a Muslim i would like to say - Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran: “O mankind, We have created you male and female, and appointed you races and tribes, that you may know one another. Surely the noblest among you in the sight of God is the most God-fearing of you.” - Also In Hadith of the Messenger of Allah (Mohammed), said: “There is no difference between an Arab, a non-Arab, a white or a black except for piety. (Altqwa) ” and there is more, Thank you :)

This comment is as condescending as us telling you what opinions you should have about what's happening in your own country. As much as we may do our best to form our own opinions based on whatever media we receive, we have not had the experience that you have, just as you have NO IDEA what it is like to be black in the US. You also apparently have no idea what's happening in the protests, because I've been to a few and there was no rioting and looting whatsoever. You're generalizing based on the soundbites you've seen, and why do you think those are so visible? Because violence and chaos sells. It's basic media history. Unrelated, but I also haven't seen any Antifa presence, not because they weren't there, but because there were thousands of people and Antifa only makes a small portion of that. And the demonstrations are growing bigger. Try doing your own research before running your mouth about something you don't know anything about. Idiot.

BetheSOUL

About 'people dying' here.I agree that George was killed very unfair, the policeman was guilty, and all of this is tragedy. But, people are dying every day in much more unfair situations, try to learn something about outside world. And if you don't care, than it's mean that you are not respects other people lives, you are selfish and respects only yours, 'black lives matter' it's all about hypocrisy, and not equality. If it was about equality then your motto must be 'All lives matter'. Martin Luther King probably ashamed in his grave. If you think that isn't about political then you are very naive. All what is happening is happening before next election. Read something about Antifa, maybe it will open your eyes. In Minneapolis people are raiding the police stations, a lot of them are burned to the ground, private property are looted, what do you think, why government do nothing about this? Usually such stuff are solved by force. Trump will win next election 100%, because people do not want to have democrats in power who wreak havoc, and then all of this protests/looting/etc will be suppressed by force, and lot of black people will be moved to the jail, racism will be much stronger. It's all about politics, and you contribute to this.

VlSch

You have a MASSIVE misunderstanding of what's happening right now. Fuck off about "you dont want people to watch you" and complaining about "political" content. The video had a title, you could see what it was. Your problem is you disagree. You're pissed that they're talking about something they care about, and something the VAST majority of us care about. You're a dismissive shit that has to explain to everybody how they don't get it, when youre comfortably outside it. Once again I invite you to fuck off with your false concern and unearned moral high-ground. If you see the protests and think that there's been more looting and violence than peaceful protest, you've been very selective with what you've been looking at to the point of willful ignorance.

Albino

This isn't politics. People are dying out there. How frightening that you even commented that. I will assume you are just very ignorant to what is happening and has been happening in America to Black people for hundreds of years. But wow that comment really shocked me. In a bad way. Disappointing

Imon_Snow

You watched a couple yt vids on the situation and now you've decided those are the intentions of the majority. The protests are majorly peaceful, fighting for justice for George Floyd and the black community as an extension of that. Your argument to disdain the movement is an incredibly disingenious one. Also this whole idea that you are entitled this safe space free of politics during your 'relax' time is such a stupid concept. Everything you see is political, literally every show. Though this time its something you disagree with.

Noman Khuwaja

How selfish do you have to be to think "you don't care about people that watch you" when they post a BLM video when the issues that they are talking about in the video literally concern life and death? How hard is it to not watch a video you don't agree out hundreds that are for entertainment? Actually cringe.

Thanatos

Okay, I got it Imon, this is your channel, and you don't care about people that watching you. You want to bring politics to the entertainment channel, good choice

VlSch

Bro, it's not me, it's a black people on protests who says that white lives doesn't matter, LITERALLY. All what is happening has nothing in common with anti-racism. You need to go check some videos from protests in NY.

VlSch

If you think black lives matter means white lives don't you are wilfully misunderstanding the situation and the movement. It' s not enough to not be racist. We must be anti-racist. That's all I have to say to someone who wants to pretend black people and allies are in a conspiracy to say white lives don't matter.

JD

We have over 300 videos that are pure entertainment. This is just one video out of all the other content we post. Why can't we talk about current events? That especially impact Abi and I as we are both black women and have faced racism and discrimination. You could easily skip this video and wait for Monday when we start posting reactions again. We aren't forcing you to watch. But we for sure are allowed to speak about anything we'd like on our channel.

Imon_Snow

Hey Abby and Imon, thank you very much for this video and your input into a very serious topic. I just finished watching Dave Chappelle's New standup called 8:46. I highly recommend you guys check it out, if you guys are interested in his perspective as well. I wish you and your families many blessings. Be well and safe.

"Also no one is saying white lives don't matter." Then, you are not watching the situation closely. Because there a lot of videos where black people saying it (literally), on the street, on protests, when they are looting, etc. And if there such people, which are saying "only ours lives matters, and yours not", do you expect that the racism problem will be solved? Every looting, robbery, and anarchy starts from protest. It's not like people just gathering and go intermediately to breaking, firstly they are protest, then breaks. You can find a lot of videos where people on protests saying that looting it's a form protest and it's ok. Then some of them, not only saying that, but taking action. These protests are NOT peaceful. As I said previously, all of this will ends with much more strong racism, protesters doing all that needs for make this happens.

VlSch

Also no one is saying white lives don't matter. Yeah you may here people saying fuck the police but no one is saying that white lives don't matter. It's just that we're the ones being killed off for basically no reason so we have to let people know and remind them that black lives matter.

Dune

There are two groups that have been out in the past few weeks. Actual protestors and then looters. With the latter simply taking advantage of the chaos to steal. On this matter there are white and black people who are participating in this but ultimately spawned from us black people being angry that too often a person who doesn't deserve to be killed is killed and the cops just parade around as if they're doing the right thing

Dune

About: 'people came here for laughing, but sometimes we need to be serious'. I live in the country which in state of war, and literally few years ago we had active stage with a lot of deaths, and complete destroying of cities, villages, and all of war outcomes. Yeah, I've came to here for laughing, and to forget about shit that is going on outside, and people need places where they can just relax. About situation: BLM, but let's go for robberies, looting and complete anarchy. This will definitely decrease the level of racism, for sure. You are saying that white young people doing this, and people can found a lot of videos where black young's disagrees with it. But also, you can found a ton's of video where black people calling for it, and where black people saying: "black lives matters, but white is not". My point is, that all what's happening will make situation with racism much worse.

VlSch

Some serious change needs to happen. Most of these white men on the police force have pre conceived notions of black people from the start already and they act accordingly. Meanwhile a white man with a weapon could walk up to a cop and he wouldn't die. I just don't get why it's so hard people to act like human beings towards each other. To that end I have no sympathy for good cops or any cops because had they been doing their job correctly from the start we wouldn't be in this situation.

Dune

It's crazy what's been going on this past month with just the protests and the the police brutality alone. We're just simply asking the police to stop killing us and start treating us like human beings and yet they take the and just start getting more aggressive and injuring more people. Plus I feel like no one can use the excuse of "oh it's not all cops" when you literally have video of a cop pushing down that elderly man and no one even bothering to help him even after he wasn't moving and was bleeding. It's not enough to just be a good cop who doesn't abuse his power. You have to be a good cop who also isn't afraid to tell your other officers about themselves when you see them abusing their power or specifically targeting black people.

Dune

thanks
