2020-04-18 07:29:52 +0000 UTCYeah, to make it "simple", there is 3 timelines: 1st is yennefer, the oldest one (we see her "graduation" with the king foltest & her sister young) 2nd timeline is the one with our BOI Gerlat (being at the weding of Calanthe and ciri's mother) and finaly, the "present" timeline with ciri, playing at a normal pace, unlike the Yenn' & Geralt

2020-04-17 23:09:40 +0000 UTCI think you ladies missed her intentions: she wants to be able to have a baby AND have her powers. That's what she means by wanting everything. In the last episode, Geralt explained they lost the ability to make Witchers after the sacking of Kaer Morhen and that the only way for Witchers to retire is death - and as we've seen, Witchers can die. As to the timeline, Witchers, Mages and Witches live long lives - longer than most humans. By the time we see Yennefer trying to save the baby, she's already been alive for over 60 years (she'd been in their service for 3 score years). Yennefer was sold and later became "beautiful" when Foltest and his sister were kids (the children you see at the dance). After her transformation, Geralt had met, fell in love with and killed Renfri (the princess in episode 1) . After that, Geralt and Jaskier (the bard) get kidnapped by the elves. Then Yenn tries and fails to save the baby, Geralt fights Foltest's cursed daughter, Ciri's mom promises her unborn baby to Geralt, and finally, Yenn, Geralt and Jaskier meet for the first time. The entirety of Ciri's storyline is "present day".
