It's ironic that towards the end of the show you start feeling just a lil bad for all these villains who are essentially mass murders.

Lust died from a man known to be a womanizer (they didn't show it when they animated this version but Mustang was a player). Gluttony was eaten. Sloth died from overworking himself. Envy committed suicide because of his jealousy of others. Wrath died peacefully. Pride was defeated (because Ed is about not killing) because he showed a lack of dignity. Also you guys were talking about lack of emotion, all the humunculi (apart from Greed and Gluttony) lacked it since they all embodied their sins/emotions that "father" removed from himself making "father" the most emotionless
