The Ultimate Kevin Arc was enjoyable from start to finish, and I'm glad we got characterization for not only Kevin, but Gwen and Ben, too. Onward to UA S3! 32 Episodes to sink our teeth into!

It’s kinda hard to give Goop who can pretty much shape himself into anything while also being an Acidic Slime Alien an upgrade. At most they’d probably change his slime color and stick a new UFO over his head. So yeah I can see why they wouldn’t wanna do Ultimate Goop at all.

2025-06-03 22:45:40 +0000 UTCYou also gotta keep in mind that Kevin’s Mind is like 100x more insane than when he was as a kid because he only absorbed 10 Aliens back in the Original Series. When Kevin did it this time he has absorbed the power of over 50 aliens plus the 5 that Aggragor had, so that amount of raw power and Kevin’s Rage is just on a whole different scale in terms of his mental state from back than. So your wonder why their even considering taking down Kevin this is one of contributing factors plus he’s a fully grown now so it’s not gonna be as simple as it was before bringing him back as a kid. he’s a rebellious teenager currently therefore he’s not to keen on listening to what people want him to do and rather do his own thing. The Omintrix in the OG series is not as powerful as the Ultimatrix.

2025-06-03 20:19:37 +0000 UTCThey never really establish what species Michael’s father is, although definitely not Osmosian. He’s kind of in a weird spot though, as while his energy draining ability is technically biological, Darkstar falls into the magic villains category alongside Hex, Charmcaster, Zombozo, Adwaitya, etc, more and more with each appearance. I think the writers realized he works better as a magic-based villain and enemy of Gwen, so they kinda soft retconned him without bringing up his alien hybrid origins again. I really do like the lecture Kevin’s step-father has with Kevin at the end. It does seem like it comes out of nowhere, but you gotta think that Kevin’s probably only reconnected with his mother as a teen, he barely talks about home and we barely see her, let alone his step-father, so it makes sense.
