2024-12-10 17:41:47 +0000 UTCAs noted, they should each be on your watch list. Pulp Fiction is the film that made me a cinephile. Genius filmmaking. Watch this one when you're ready to dive into Tarantino. The Green Mile is a great Frank Darabont film based on a Stephen King short story, just like Darabont did with Shawshank. Fight Club is classic David Fincher (Se7en, Zodiac, etc.), with brilliant performances by Pitt and Norton. Robin Williams earned his only Oscar thanks to Good Will Hunting, the film that gave us Damon and Affleck. Stand by Me is another Stephen King adaptation, but it is best revered as the launch pad for several stars, and directed by the great Rob Reiner (Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, A Few Good Men, etc.).
