Im in the minority when I say theatrical editions make for a more better paced movie. But once you see it the extended editions are like a nice treat.

2024-11-21 00:54:47 +0000 UTC1.) Extended editions all the way. 2.) This is "high fantasy" and in that it's an entirely different universe, literally. There are many creatures that populate this universe; 'men'/'humans' for one. 3.) J.R.R. Tolkiens' work: "Lord of the Rings" is considered to be the foundational work of high fantasy in an Epic way. He created this universe, all of the people's within it and their languages, he created everything within it! 4.) It is a complex story, a lot of characters where some have similar sounding names, a lot of 'facts' and it can be daunting to try to remember it all in 'one viewing.' Just knowing that is 'half the battle' and don't worry about it. Let the music, the imagery, the characters and their relationships and the story itself guide you on this Epic journey everyone should take. "Every movie is a universe unto it's own" and it will inspire you to think of questions, but will give you the answers in 'its own time.' Thank you Camilla!
