Life is like a box of chocolates. You'll never know what you're gonna get.

The Big Lebowski is hilarious.

I enjoyed your reaction very much. If you’re bummed out with people dying, may I suggest you do a string of comedies? First one that comes to mind is The Big Lebowski. It’s not your standard slapstick comedy, but it was a one of the funniest movies ever. Also, Tropic Thunder is a must watch. I’m sure you’ve probably gotten requests for that one already. It’s totally bonkers. I could go on for a while with just comedies you should watch, but may I suggest you pose a question to your Patrons, and ask which comedy you should watch next? Or any type of genre for that matter. Take care. I’m already anxious for the next reaction. You’re doing great.

CGI was used to great effect both for obvious things (explosions, crowds, etc) but also for less obvious things like the mountains of Vietnam appearing in the shooting location of South Carolina, or objects Gary Sinise’s real legs would have hit but needed to pass by/through since he was playing an amputee. Hanks won back-to-back Best Acting Oscar’s (for this and for Philadelphia); a feat not previously done since Spencer Tracy I believe. You pretty much can’t go wrong with a Hanks film … other standouts would be Philadelphia, Cast Away (where he also is in pretty much every frame of the movie), and Captain Phillips (based on a true story and featuring maybe my favorite single acting moment from Hanks amidst his amazing career). And Jenny consistently ran away from her life up until marrying Forrest due to the trauma of her childhood. That trauma also instilled in her a deep sense of self-hatred which didn’t allow her to accept/understand real love and happiness. I’ve always seen her motivation for running away from Forrest after sleeping with him as a product of that inability to accept happiness as well as regret for showing Forrest “love” the same way men have shown her “love” all throughout her life to that point. Thanks for your wonderful reaction and look forward to many more to come!

Thank you for your reaction. It was a pleasure watching your first time reaction to "Forrest Gump". I didn't see "Gump" upon initial theatrical release but watch it when it became available as a rental. At first watch, I thought it was just 'okay' but subsequent viewings made me appreciate the story of a man who was both an observer and an unwitting participant in American history. Camilla, ya can't go wrong with Addie's recommendations for movies to watch! If you happen to be a fan of the Beatles, you may find Bob Zemeckis' early work to be much more lighthearted than his later serious work like "Gump" and "Cast Away". Bob co-wrote and directed 1978's zany "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". A small group of friends get swept up in Beatlemania in 1964. Unfortunately, I don't see any service where the movie can currently be streamed so that really limits what your patrons can watch along with you. Maybe Bob's "Back To The Future" (1985) could substitute, if you haven't already seen it.

Finally home. No its much easier for most people to be able to at least see something when the movie starts. Countdown would be okay too but that's something else to manage and not really necessary. I would also add that if you can make the box for the movie a bit smaller - heck you can even cut some of it. As for 'syncing' yours with their copy! What I do is get an approximate sync and then look at 'screen transitions' IE: All black to all white, etc. using that its easy! Been doing this for quite sometime. If ya didn't see my other posts (WaltsWorker9815? & Lord_Legolas_Greenleaf) there's a lot that I've posted in your YT videos, except for "V is for Vendetta"(?) cause I haven't see that yet. Audio quality is excellent - level is excellent! Love the plants in the background and lighting good too! You may think it's weird but a lot of us love the "Emotional Content" so please don't cut any out! @Diegesis "THE LORD OF THE RINGS | THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING | FIRST TIME WATCHING | MOVIE REACTION (PART 1/3)" with Maple did a great one! Kamilla' @Centane is extremely good. As for Forrest Gump - after the speech and he hears Jenny call his name - that makes me cry every time... I live in movies and have since the late 1960's LOL For me it's like "I've just returned from war and now I hear "Thee sweetest voice in the wide world!"

It was great to see this one again. As you said it is very life affirming. Thanks for presenting it so well! 😊

Steve Holton

you mean a countdown right before the movie starts right? I was thinking I should start doing something like that!

Kitty!!!

FYI I have no problems syncing! Best to give a bit more time before blurring. 😀 More later
