As they approached their favorite corner store, Sophie suddenly stopped and stared at her friend in disbelief. Vera seemed to be growing right before her eyes. "You're taller! Bigger! You're growing!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with shock and confusion.
Vera smiled serenely, placing a hand on her hip. "Oh hush. It's all going according to plan," she said, her tone calm and confident.
"How are you growing?!? Is anyone else seeing this?" she whispered urgently, her heart pounding. Sophie glanced around, noticing the curious stares of passersby. People were doing double-takes, whispering, and pointing at the ridiculously tall beauty who seemed to be getting taller by the second.
Vera chuckled softly, pulling Sophie closer. "Don't worry. You're going to start growing soon too!" she assured her, her voice soothing yet filled with an air of mystery.
The crowd’s murmurs grew louder as more people stopped to watch the spectacle. Phones were out, capturing the unbelievable scene of Vera's continuous growth. Suddenly, Sophie felt a strange tingling sensation spreading through her body. She could feel herself stretching taller. "Oh my god, what?" she managed to say, her voice trembling with a mix of excitement and disbelief.
Vera looked down at the growing Sophie, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I knew we'd have fun tonight with this growth spell," she said, a playful grin spreading across her face.
