Bare Your Heart - original piece (gore warning)

Original piece, actually a repaint of an old piece I painted of Maksim. If you're from back when I didn't have very much attention on my work you might remember it lol!

You might remember this portrait below I painted a few weeks ago of my dear Maksim. He's a doctor who has been through a lot for a vampire (and that's saying something lol), and is tragically eternally quite unwell. His vampirism was self-inflicted in order to cure a terminal illness back when he was human, but the blasphemous act of forcing it left him quite cursed.

I'm looking to start a project that's web-based using my characters though it's going to take me some time to get my bearings with it. Interactive blogs/pages/stories that I update regularly. I feel like the visual novel format was just not right for the story I wanted to tell with them which was a project I sunk a lot of work into before dumping it. Luckily, I think the work I did on the plot will help a lot moving forward. I am going to try and make time for this project this year even if it flops horribly, as I really want to just say fuck it and CREATE something out in the world that's just all mine.

Please expect my personal project pieces to be a bit nastier/more adult than you might be used to. I'm considering adding a warning to my Patreon as there might be some nudity as well going forward with my characters and I don't really have a way to warn for triggers on this platform. I'm hoping that adding a warning in the title will help for email folks. I don't even know what people find offensive to look at anymore, I know I'm kind of oldfashioned AND I'm desensitized a bit.

Apologies if this jumpscares anyone, my husband thinks this piece is nasty lol.

Extra sorry if this seems like I'm turning it into a blog, I have no idea what people expect from my posts! I don't even know what people want to know about my characters and I don't want to come off as a narcissist. Feel free to ask any questions if you do happen to be curious, my vampires are quite weird and Maksim in particular is a rather abnormal vampire.
