You wanted to see early WIP images so here it is! I know it's nothing overly exciting yet but that's just how hard surface modeling starts out, having a good clean base goes a long way. It lets me adjust proportions and shapes without needing to worry about panel lines and details, those can all be cut in once everything works.
As far as the design goes there is still a heap to block in for the armour and cloth elements but I really like the asymmetry of the half cape so far. I'll get the rest of the major parts in then push things around a bit, I think his legs are a bit short or maybe the torso is too long but it will all get sorted out as I go.
